Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon! It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix. Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher. Looks like an Apple TV now lol

  1. 1Settings → Device Preferences → About
  2. 2Press OK on Build seven times.
  3. 3Go back to Developer options.
  4. 4Turn on USB debugging, and Network or ADB debugging if your TV shows it.

Keep the TV on, on the same Wi-Fi as your computer.

Nothing uninstalled. One line restores it.

Your TV, minus the ads. For Android TV and Google TV: an AI coding assistant removes the ads over Wi-Fi. No root, nothing uninstalled, free and open source.

How it works

  1. On the TV: Settings, Device Preferences, About. Press OK on Build seven times, go back to Developer options and turn on USB debugging, and Network or ADB debugging if your TV shows it.
  2. On your computer: paste the prompt from PROMPT.md into Claude Code, or another coding assistant with shell access, and put in your TV model.
  3. Follow along: accept "Allow USB debugging?" on the TV, then answer its checklist: which apps you use, which four go in the dock, and whether to keep the voice assistant, Chromecast and updates.

Nothing uninstalled. One line restores it.
